How to Play Baccarat Online

Baccarat is one of the simplest games to learn and to play. The first thing you should know about how to play baccarat is how a hand is played, from beginning to end. Here we’ve put together several important baccarat tips that will help you with your online baccarat strategy.

A hand of baccarat starts when all bets have been placed on the specified betting area of the table. Just click on the desired chip amount, then click on the area of the table in which you wish to place your bet. If you wish to bet multiples of the chip amount, just click in the betting area as many times as you want to. Let’s say you want to bet $40, so just click on the $10 chip and then click in the betting area 4 times.

If you are playing baccarat for the first time, you may feel like changing your bets. To do so, simply click on the “Clear Bets” or similar button, so you can start afresh. If you are happy with your bet amount, click on the “Deal” button to start the process. You will then get one of your initial 2 cards, followed by one for the banker and another for you, then the 2nd card for the banker. All cards must be dealt face up so that their values are visible.

The Essential Baccarat Rules:

• The Banker and the player each draw two cards.
• If either a player or banker total 8 or 9, both automatically stand, without exception.
• If a player’s total is 6 or 7, the player stands.
• If a player stands, the banker hits on a total of 5 or less.
• If a player’s total is 5 or less, the player automatically hits and the banker hands a third card to the player.

If a player gets a third card, the Banker draws a third one as well, going by these rules:

• If the Banker’s hand totals 0,1, 2, the Banker must draw a third card.
• If the Banker’s hand totals 3, then the Banker draws if Player’s third card is 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-9-0 (never 8)
• If the Banker totals 4, he draws if the Player’s third card is 2-3-4-5-6-7
• If the Banker totals 5, he draws if the Player’s third is 4-5-6-7
• If the Banker gets 6, he draws if the Player’s third is 6-7
• If the Banker totals 7, he stands.

Once the final cards are dealt, the one with the total closest to 9 wins.

Baccarat is appealing because there’s no strategy to master. In Baccarat, you get the some low edge no matter what, because the only decisions you must make are how much to wager, and which of the two low-edge hands you want to bet on, Player or Banker. The only way to upset these odds are to make a Tie bet, which carries a high edge.

Casinos usually take a 5% commission on winning hands when betting on Banker. The dealers must keep track of this and you pay a commission when you cash out at the end of your gaming session. Even with this, betting on Banker still has a lower house edge because the Banker hand is much more likely to win against the Player hand.

To attract new customers and keep the regulars happy, online casinos have to provide attractive incentives, along with good games and service. Bonuses and promotions are some of the most popular ways for casinos to attract and retain customers.

Baccarat Basics, How To Play, Strategy, Plus History of the Game

Baccarat

Baccarat is one of several online casino gambling games and is a game of cards originally introduced in France from Italy in the 15th century. The game is simple with three possibilities ‘Player’, ‘Banker’ and ‘Tie’. The terms do not have the same meaning, but are just options for the customers to bet on. There are mainly three kinds of Baccarat games: “Baccarat chemin de fer”, “Baccarat Banque” and “Punto banco”. In Punto banco, which is a North American adaption of Baccarat, no skill is required. It’s a game of chance, but in the other two games both wagers can make choices and this requires skill.

The Game
In this game 2-9 cards are worth their face value, whereas 10, J, Q and K have zero value. An Ace is considered as having one point. Players add up all the cards and forgets about the 10th digit while calculating their scores. For instance, if a player receives 5 and 4 his score will be 9 (5+4=9), however, if he gets 7 and 5 his score will be 2 (7+5=12-10=2). This is because if the total is more than 10 and if he gets 3 and 7 then his score will be 0 (3+7=10 – 10=0). For a point total of 24, your score would be 4. Basically you take the rightmost digit as your total point value.

In this game, the cards are first dealt face-down to the players and then to the banker. This process is repeated again for two cards each during the initial round. The cards are then turned over and the dealer counts the points announcing the total points secured by each player. If anyone of the players or the banker gets 8 or 9 in the initial rounds, no more cards will be dealt and the highest scorer will win the game. Otherwise, the game continues in the following manner.

Each player will draw one card if he has 0-5 in the initial round or stands if he has 6 or 7. The banker will draw depending upon his hand or if the player drew and what card the player drew.
Every step is taken accordingly and the dealer then decides it pro rata on the cards drawn and stood over based on which the winner is announced. As per rules, the winner is paid and the losers forfeit their bet.

Payment
In such a situation five per cent commission is paid to the house, 95 per cent to the banker and the player usually gets money or 1-1 “commission Baccarat”. However, in some situations casinos pay even money or 1-1 both to the player and the banker excluding at times when the banker wins with 6. In such circumstances the banker is paid 50 per cent of the bet complying with the original. The house edge and ties implies same as commission Baccarat where as the house edge on the bankers bet is 1.46 per cent. On completion of the rounds if the value of both the banker and the players are same then it’s a tie.

And ties are paid 8 to 1 odds. The game is usually played on an oval table involving a croupier, or dealer, and it also involves two more people tallying bet amounts and commissions. There are usually 6 to 8 decks of cards used by the dealer. These types of games implement on big bet amounts, so in cities like Las Vegas and Atlantic City these games are played in private rooms.

Baccarat Chemin de fer
The game is a derivation and is played with 6 pack full of cards shuffled together at the center of the table a basket for the used cards is kept and questions arising relating to the position of the players is decided by the lot. In the process whichever player draws his seat sits next to the croupier and the rest follows. The shuffling of the card is first done by the croupier and then by the players starting from their left who cuts.

Baccarat Banque
The basic difference between Baccarat Chemin de fer and Baccarat banque is primarily related to the banker, where the banker makes his position a bit more permanent. There are usually 3 packs of cards used in the game (though the number is not prefixed, it could increase to 4 packs too). The game also features the banker to stay until his finances are maintained or the cards are not yet dealt with.
