So you ask yourself, where can I find games at? Well, let me tell you a little history about video games first. Video games involve user interaction with an interface to generate visible feedback on a video game console or computer.
Video in the phrase (new video games) is traditionally known as a raster display platform. The devices used to play video games for example, computers and Playstation game consoles, are known as platforms. The early years of video games consisted of basic games that used electronic interactive devices with different display formats.
The first patent for a video game device was applied for back in 1947. There were also other games developed from 1951 to 1961 and of course, up to the present. Computer Space, developed by Ted Dabney and Nolan Bushnell, was the first coin operated computer game commercially sold in 1971. The arcade version of Atari’s Pong was introduced in 1972 and the home version was sold in 1975. The great success of Pong led other companies to develop many Pong clones and their own consoles and systems. This is what spawned the computer game industry that flourished and has since become a multi-billion dollar yearly business.

Visit any video games sales outlet and you are sure to be overcome by the hundreds or even thousands of choices available, particularly if you are new to the gaming industry and say where can I find games at. Interestingly enough, kids and teenagers really know their way through these stores like they were their second home. But for the adult, the average video shop looks like some variety of color explosion and sooner or later, all the games begin to look alike. This short guide is for the grownup who is purchasing a game for a young kid or teenager possibly as a birthday present. Whatever the possible reason may be, you should value the following tips. This should help you answer the question, where can I find games at?
1. Research this strange phenomenon before entering a video game store. There’s a lot of data available about video games online, so to reduce stress and frustration offline, do a little searching. Visit the web site of the video game store in your town and then search in the video games section of the console that your child plays. Here we explain what those weird abbreviations mean:

3. In your shopping list, look for a game that is based on the newest movie releases. Young kids really like the hot new animated motion pictures made by Pixar and Disney, and they truly love recreating scenes from a movie in a video game. The producers of the movies put a few video games in the “Special Features section” of the CDs when these movies come out on DVD.
4. If you don’t find wholesale video games that are based on a movie that your kid likes, look for a game that was made popular by a cartoon character or one that educates.
5. If you still can’t locate one that looks like something that you would be interested in, think a little deeper. You should pay better attention. Then surf over to the nearest Hollywood Video or Blockbuster website. Follow the same process defined in steps 1 – 3. This time, rent 4 or 5 games that look attractive. This should give your youngster an opportunity to play some video games and select one that you can buy while you return the rest.
